Ficus Lyrata care
Fiddle leaf fig tree is fairly easy to care for but would like a misting.
Where should I put it?
Ficus Lyrata likes a bright spot to thrive, it can withstand some direct sun but nothing too hot, not suitable for very dark spots. The fiddle fig tree is ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, studies, even bathrooms.
What temperature does it like?
The fiddle leaf fig likes a warm temperature, never cold or draughty. They are sensitive to changes in the environment so may take time to settle into a new home.
How much should I water it?
Fiddle fig likes to be watered weekly in summer but you must let the compost dry out before watering, if it’s not dry then don’t water! In winter you need to water only occasionally if the compost gets very dry.
One of the main mistakes people make is to overwater! Overwatering can cause leaves to drop or brown, this usually occurs in winter if the soil is too moist.
Does it need feeding?
Feed every month during spring and summer - why not try out vegan, organic plant food?
Any other care?
Fiddle leaf fig trees will need their leaves dusting or misting often.
Are they suitable if you have pets?
Ficus Lyrata can be toxic to cats and dogs if nibbled.

Measurements: The plant heights provided encompass the plant stem and the foliage length, along with the depth of the grow pot, which includes the living root system, and not just the portion of the plant that is visible above the soil level.
