Chamaedorea elegans is native to the rainforests of Southern Mexico and Guatemala, where it thrives as an understory plant in dappled light and humid conditions. In the wild, it can grow up to 6 feet tall, producing small yellow flowers and even black, berry-like fruit. Indoors, the Parlour Palm stays more compact, making it an elegant and manageable choice for UK homes.
