Shipping times are 7-10 working days, but are usually much quicker. A working day is Monday to Friday excluding weekends.

We use Parcel Force/DPD's next day tracked delivery services. One £6.99 charge covers your entire order, regardless of how many items.

We post all our plants to most of the UK, with the exceptions of the Islands of Scotland, the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles and the Channel Islands due to the high cost of shipping.

Any orders with a delivery address in these areas will be cancelled and refunded.

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it and in its original packaging.

If you have changed your mind, the return costs are your responsibility. Please choose a reputable courier and use the original packaging. Please send for delivery between Monday and Thursday only. Our return address is Berwick Farm, Berwick Lane, Stanford Rivers, Ongar CM5 9PY

We will notify you once we've received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember that it can take time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order on arrival and contact us at with photographs if the item is defective or damaged or if you received the wrong item so we can evaluate the issue and make it right. We will arrange for damaged plants to be collected by our couriers before a refund is processed.

If a plant is missing from your order, we must be informed on the day of delivery. Happy Houseplants cannot, unfortunately, issue a refund for missing plants if notified later.

Please note:

Our guarantee does not cover natural variations in shape, colour and spots on plants which is normal and to be expected.

Happy Houseplants cannot refund any spoiled or missing plants left outside by Parcel Force/DPD at the customer's request.

Happy Houseplants cannot issue refunds on plants returned to us due to multiple missed deliveries or non-collection from Parcel Force/DPD pick-up shops.

Houseplants can sometimes show minor signs of stress when posted, such as yellow leaves or crushed leaves. You can help your plants perk up, ensuring they are placed in a bright, warm spot and watered well.

Leaves on a juvenile plant will naturally yellow and die as the plant grows and matures. There is nothing wrong with the plant, and this process is normal. Plants can absorb the goodness in the no longer-needed leaves (usually lower, older leaves as the plant grows taller and longer).

Please remember that whatever your problems or concerns, always give us a call first. We're a friendly team, have been trading for years with thousands of happy customers and are always pleased to help. Plants also want to live, are resilient and with some easy care tips will usually bounce back.
