The wonderful Epipremnum Aureum or Golden pothos is one of the most popular houseplants in the world It’s clear why this is the case - it’s so adaptable - you can have your Devils Ivy climbing up a moss pole as we have pictured here or you can have it trailing over the sides of a pot or draped from a shelf. It’s really easy care and great if you’re not an expert at looking after houseplants.
This Devils Ivy has lovely variegation and beautifully glossy, large leaves of emerald green with cream flecks. It’s stunning and refreshing to look at and also grows fast so it’s ideal if you want to cover a space in rainforest style.
You can imagine it in the Asian tropics, climbing up trees and covering bushes, winding its way around tree trunks. Where should I put Devils Ivy?
It will be happy in most positions, it likes bright light but will tolerate a shady spot too - Pothos plants are known to do well in low light but variegated Pothos may loose a little colour if placed in a dark spot - variegated plants tend to need more light because only the green parts of the leaf absorb the sunlight.
How should I water Golden Pothos?
Water really infrequently - when it feels really dry you can soak through but do not overwater.
How should I feed Epipremnum Aurem?
You can feed in spring and summer about once a month - try our Indoor vegan, organic plant food.
Is it suitable if I have pets?
No, it can be toxic to pets.
