The Golden Pothos on Pole in Basket is a perfectly matched combination created by the team at Happy Houseplants. A lush Golden Pothos is trained up a support pole and presented in a natural waterproof basket, creating an easy care statement plant for any room.
Known botanically as Epipremnum aureum, the Golden Pothos is loved for its heart shaped green leaves splashed with sunny yellow variegation. Growing on a pole gives it a fuller, more upright look while allowing the foliage to make a real impact.
Native habitat and growth pattern
Golden Pothos comes from tropical regions of the Pacific, where it climbs through trees and grows towards the light. In the home, the support pole gives it something to climb and helps create a taller, leafier plant. This plant is supplied at around 80cm tall including the basket and pole and will continue to grow with the right care.
Styling at home
This is a brilliant plant for adding height and colour to a room without taking up too much floor space. The climbing pole gives it a more mature, established look, while the natural basket makes it feel instantly at home in a living room, bedroom or home office. It arrives in its nursery pot inside the waterproof basket, ready to display.
Care guide
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light, which will help keep its yellow variegation looking its best. It will tolerate lower light, although the leaves may become greener.
Water: Water when the top few centimetres of compost have dried out. Remove the nursery pot from the basket to water and allow excess water to drain away.
Humidity: Enjoys average household humidity and will appreciate a little extra humidity in a warm room.
Feeding: Feed monthly during spring and summer with a houseplant feed to encourage healthy new growth.
Temperature: Keep in a warm room between 18°C and 27°C and away from cold draughts.
