This beautiful crested form of Notocactus Leninghaussii is still rare.
A stunning looking cactus that offer both beautiful colour and form. Interestingly the spikes on this cactus are hairs that mean it can be handled without gloves, you will find too hard to resist stroking your new plant friend he is so warm and furry.
The hairs serve to protect it from the harsh sun common in its native habitat in South America and benefit the plant by reducing sun exposure by trapping a layer of air next to the cactus body. This helps keep the plant cool in the summer and warm in the winter. How clever!
A stunning cactus for any collection and perfect for a sunny window sill or shelf.
