This fascinating hanging houseplant has really stunning foliage and it’s a great plant to have in any collection! This cactus is a really rare houseplant, an easy-care hanging houseplant that comes from Brazil. An interesting houseplant, it’s stylish and easy to manage, making it ideal if you don’t have a lot of time to spare!

Rhipsalis Elliptica has elliptical shaped green leaves that turn a rich, coppery-purple colour in full light. It will regularly have flowers in summer which are yellow-white in colour.

In its native habitat, it can be found growing along tree branches as an epiphyte, never harming its host but growing in harmony adding to the biomass and diversity of an ecosystem. Rhipsalis will grow in almost any light condition making it ideal as a houseplant and its travel around the world being cultivated into many forms as a houseplant. It will, however, grow best in bright indirect light.

It requires very little attention and it needs very little watering, ideal if you tend to forget to when to water houseplants!

There aren’t many companies that stock Rhipsalis Elliptica, and we are proud to say that we do!  Buy this easy-care cactus as a special gift for someone new to houseplants, or someone who just loves to collect them.  They will get a beautiful small hanging houseplant that will bring lots of pleasure.

If you’d like to give this plant as a gift, don’t forget to include your gift message at the basket stage of the checkout and we’ll include a free, handwritten card with your order - without any giveaway paperwork!

Seaweed provides a delicate blend of growth hormones and micronutrients that is perfect for all indoor plants. Happy Houseplants delivers live houseplants across the UK with fast, carbon-neutral tracked service.

At Happy Houseplants, we ship all live plants via DPD’s 24-hour tracked carbon-neutral service. Delivery usually takes 7–10 working days, but in most cases your plants will arrive much sooner. You can read more about delivery here.

We post to most of the UK, but we’re unable to deliver to the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles and the Channel Islands because of higher shipping costs.

When we list a plant’s height, it always includes the grow pot, stem, foliage and living root system — not just what you see above the soil. Because every plant is unique, yours may arrive a little smaller or larger than the size listed.
