Lepismium cruciforme is an unusual and hard to find species of plant in the family Cactaceae. This tropical cactus will flower profusely given the right warm conditions, and turn a deep dark red. We are selling very well established large mature plants for instant impact.
In the wild its native to Brazil, where it lives in tropical subtropical or tropical forests, hanging or hanging on branches or growing in the hollow of old trees. The main threat to the species is deforestation.
In its native habitat, it can be found growing along tree branches as an epiphyte, never harming its host but growing in harmony adding to the biomass and diversity of an ecosystem.
