ADD A BEAUTIFUL FITTED POT (OPTIONAL)

If you love rare Monstera varieties and plants that bring a touch of the extraordinary to your collection, meet the Amydrium Medium Silver—a stunning aroid with silvery-blue foliage that feels more rainforest treasure than houseplant. With its narrow, deeply lobed leaves and metallic sheen, this one’s guaranteed to spark interest and envy from fellow plant lovers.
This is a tropical climbing plant, related to Monstera but part of the Amydrium genus, and it will happily trail or climb with a bit of encouragement. The foliage starts out compact and gradually develops intricate fenestrations and shimmer as it matures. This particular form—Medium Silver—is prized for its unusually pale, silvery colouring, especially under the right lighting conditions.
Plant size: Grown in a 10cm nursery pot, approx. 20cm tall.
Native habitat and growth patterns: Native to Southeast Asia, Amydrium grows as a hemiepiphyte, scrambling through humid rainforests and clinging to tree trunks. In the wild, it uses aerial roots to anchor itself as it reaches for dappled light.
Styling at home: This plant is perfect for minimal interiors or jungle-themed shelves—pair with a trailing Pothos or place on a high shelf to show off its quirky silhouette. It looks fabulous in one of our modern white ceramic pots with saucers, and it’s small enough to sit happily on a desk or narrow windowsill.
Monstera Amydrium Medium Silver care requirements:
-
Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid harsh direct sun.
-

-
Humidity: Appreciates moderate to high humidity—perfect for a kitchen or bathroom.
-
Feeding: Feed monthly in spring and summer with our Organic Tropical Plant Food, made from seaweed and free from animal products.
-
Pet safe? No—keep out of reach of pets.
Why choose this plant: Rare, compact, and striking—this is a must-have for collectors or anyone looking to add texture and shimmer to their plant shelf. Easy-going yet unique, it’s a beautiful conversation starter.
Interesting facts: Amydrium is often mistaken for Monstera or Rhaphidophora, but it’s a unique genus in its own right. The silvery foliage can take on a light bluish tone depending on light levels—almost as if it’s glowing.
