Weeping Fig Tree - Ficus Benjamina
- In stock, ready to ship
- Inventory on the way
We love the Weeping Fig Tree or Ficus Benjamina for its wonderfully graceful foliage and because it’s so easy to look after. From the large Fig family, the Weeping Fig has quite different looks from other better-known figs such as the Fiddle Leaf Figs. The Weeping Fig has smaller, paler green leaves - they are delicate and look truly ethereal, like a magic tree from a fairytale!
At home in any room in your home, this large indoor plant gives a room huge helpings of style and will be admired by any visitor. All Ficus trees are super popular and the Benjamina really is a showstopper.
This large foliage houseplant is also awesome at cleaning the air - so great for a healthy home!
This would make a wonderful houseplant gift for a special person, and we can make it extra exciting by including a free, handwritten card inscribed with your gift message. Just note it at the basket stage of the checkout and we’ll organise it for you! We’ll omit the paperwork too so your Ficus will be a lovely surprise and no one but you will know what it cost!
Ficus Benjamina care level
This lovely houseplant is fairly easygoing, so suitable for beginners.
Where should I put it?
Ficus Benjamina likes bright light, but not direct sun.
How should I water it?
You need to water only when the plant starts to dry out - so when the top couple of inches of soil are dry. Allow water to drain freely and never leave sitting in water as this can cause root rot.
Is it suitable if I have pets?
No, unfortunately it isn’t great if you have pets, the leaves can be toxic if nibbled.
Should I feed it?
You can give a feed once a month in spring and summer - we recommend our own vegan, organic plant food!
