We love the Indoor Weeping Fig Tree or Ficus Benjamina for its wonderfully graceful foliage and because it’s so easy to look after. From the large Fig family, the Indoor Weeping Fig looks quite different from other better-known figs, such as the Fiddle Leaf Figs. The Weeping Fig has smaller, paler green leaves - delicate and looks truly ethereal, like a magic tree from a fairytale! Ficus Benjamina is also commonly known as the weeping fig, the benjamin fig or a ficus tree, so it can get confusing.
At home in any room in your home, this large indoor tree gives a room huge helpings of style and will be admired by any visitor. All Ficus trees are super popular, and the Benjamina is a showstopper.

Ficus Benjamina likes bright light but not direct sun.
How should I water my ficus Benjamina tree?
You need to water only when the plant starts to dry out - so when the top couple of inches of soil is dry. Allow water to drain freely and never leave sitting in water as this can cause root rot.
Is the Ficus Benjamina weeping fig tree suitable if I have pets?
Unfortunately, it isn’t great if you have pets; the leaves can be toxic if nibbled.
Should I feed it?
You can give a feed once a month in spring and summer - we recommend our vegan, organic plant food here!
